If you just want low end raid (ie 'I'm sick of disks dying' raid mirroring) then on a PCI express box there probably isn't any point getting hardware assisted raid of any kind. A modern PC is rather good at doing RAID in software and PCI Express fixes the main bottleneck of RAID1 in software. Its also generally true that a desktop PC has lots and lots of spare CPU cycles to use for RAID work. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
