Hi, As said, it worked. You are correct, I replaced --with-default-charset with --with-extra-charsets=latin1 and included tcp_wrappers support too. It compiled well and installed. I had to remove the mysql-libs rpm package (lost amarok since its dependent) as libmysqlclient.so.16 was creating conflict.
