Reading the manpage I've found that I can do

devkit-disks --inhibit-all-polling &

to disable all polling.

So I added it to /etc/rc.d/rc.local but it fails saying it cannot do it (it does not say why).
But if I do it from a console immediately after it succeeds...

I could not find any configuration file to avoid this hack.
