A hundred kernel failures while booting fedora 11 with ndiswrapper activ

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi listers

A hundred (and no typo) kernel failures while booting with ndiswrapper activ.

Present installation:
[myuser@myhost ~]$ uname -r
2.6.30.9-96.fc11.i686.PAE
[myuser@myhost ~]$

[myuser@myhost ~]$ rpm -q ndiswrapper
ndiswrapper-1.54-2.fc11.i586
[myuser@myhost ~]$

the ndiswrapper is installed from the rpmfusion repo.

after booting with the ndiswrapper activ (i.e. with the respective wlan card plugged in), dmesg looks like:

Additionally, when I transfer a large file with maximum speed across WLAN, after about 15 minutes I get in
/var/log/messages entries like:

Nov 19 11:35:03 myhost kernel: ndiswrapper 0000:07:00.0: PCI INT A disabled
Nov 19 12:56:05 myhost kernel: ndiswrapper 0000:07:00.0: PCI INT A disabled

after this had happened (i.e. irq 10 disabled) the mouse gets very slow, and the connection across WLAN goes down about to a fourth of the throughput it had before. That situation can be remedied only by rebooting.

Anyone had such problems? what did i wrong? where is the remedy?
If more information is needed, please let me know.
