Try removing /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
(created by udev it recognizes things like mac addr
which is probably different).

You might want to remove 70-persistent-cd.rules
as well, since it will be looking for a specific
cd/dvd drive which probably isn't the same either.
