The lines in /etc/modprobe.conf should have been converted and /etc/modprobe.conf should no longer be needed. Rename it to /etc/modprobe.conf.OLD and you won't get these info messages on boot. Of course, verify after booting that all works....in the event some info didn't get converted to the new way.
