have now had two lockups of Kernel 18.104.22.168-43.fc11.x86_64 others having problems, any ideas what is causing it :-
Sep 25 03:19:38 lquad kernel: general protection fault: 0000 [#2] SMP
Sep 25 03:19:38 lquad kernel: last sysfs file: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq
Sep 25 03:19:38 lquad kernel: CPU 2
No similar problems on my own system, a Quad Core x86_64 system since I installed the latest kernel namely:
vmlinuz-22.214.171.124-43.fc11.jon.x86_64on September 13th.
The kernel was modified slightly to allow preemptive scheduling rather than the default voluntary preemption.
The system runs the nvidia proprietary drivers as built on the system itself, using nvidia's script.
