If it is installed, you can do:
yum whatprovides `which xxd`

This does not appear to be useful information.  If I had it installed I wouldn't need to install it??

Or are you saying I need to put the complete path for xxd as the argument for whatprovides?  How am I supposed to know where the RPM I don't have would install it?  oh, yum.

It makes me mad when I go to all the trouble of having Marta cook up about a hundred drumsticks, then the guy at the Marineland says, "You can't throw chicken to the dolphins. They eat fish." Sure they eat fish, if that's all you give them. Man, wise up.
