Hi folks,
After the base sw install, i am getting audio capture& audio playback
errors when i try to make a test call.
A new beta, which supports pulseaudio, is available:
http://www.skype.com/intl/es/download/skype/linux/?cm_mmc=PAIDS|GAWS-_-AMERC|PE|ES-_-BD|SOFTW-_-zh01it&gclid=CPHjrPaLxJwCFdRS2godgmEbgA
For those who can't read Spanish, the direct link is
http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-linux-beta-fc10 (also -fc9, but not
-f11).
I'll be testing it with interest as I currently have to use my wife's
Mac to get video calls with Skype.

It's working very nicely on my F11 box.
Mine, too, up to a point. If you're running x86_64, make sure that you've got:
alsa-plugins-pulseaudio-1.0.20-2.fc11.i586
pulseaudio-libs-0.9.15-14.fc11.i586
These are the listed software requirements:
* Software requirements
* Qt 4.2.1+
* D-Bus 1.0.0
* libasound2 1.0.12
* PulseAudio 0.9.10+ (optional)
* PulseAudio 0.9.15+ (optional recommended)
My webcam isn't working with the new beta. It stopped working a few months ago,
probably because of a kernel update.
The only sound option available is pulseaudio server [local]. I'm unable to
specify one sound card for the incoming ring and another for my headset.
