I have a couple of remote machines which I ssh to (in Fedora-11/KDE) with buttons created with Menu Editor. The command for one is "/usr/bin/ssh -Y alfred-vpn" and I have it set to "Run in Terminal". This works fine; I go to desktop 3, and click on the button. There is one tiny inconvenience; when I logout and login again (or sleep and resume) there is a window in desktop 3 with a local shell. I have to close this, and press the button again. What I would really like would be for this remote link to come up automatically in desktop 3 (as soon as the connection is established), and for the local window to close on logout.
