You don't say what hardware you are using. That information would be helpful in diagnosing your problem. Memory size, partition sizes, file system, etc. When I have experienced the problem you report in the past it is because the kernel did not support a hardware feature that my system had, or there were discrepancies between the versions of main components of the OS. I had compiled my own kernel, but the Fedora kernel shouldn't have this problem. Did you check the media to be sure there were no errors? If there were bad versions in the software you installed, it might cause problems as well. Have you tried running a Fedora 11 liveCD on the same hardware?
