The radio feature of your tv card would be worth another test, btw ;) although right now I can't tell whether gnome-radio works. From your dmesg output: | cx23885[0]/0: registered device video0 [v4l2] /dev/video0 as used by tvtime by default. | cx23885[0]: registered device video1 [mpeg] /dev/video1 that's the one other users get audio with together with mplayer.
