I would have thought that to be a normal thing; an animation simulating
a button being pressed and then released (which is the behaviour when
moving the mouse away - cancelling things).

It does the same thing inside a division, e.g. <div><button>Press
Me</button></div>, here on Firefox 3.0.11, on Fedora 9.  I didn't test
other possible parent elements.
