[root@malchik ~]# chkconfig --list network

[root@malchik ~]# chkconfig network on
[root@malchik ~]# chkconfig --list network
network         0:off   1:off   2:off   3:on   4:on   5:on   6:off
[root@malchik ~]# !sync
sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync;sync

 I usually don't use Network-Manager if it's a server, anyway probably is going to be attached on ethernet && runlevel 3.
