Awkward. I have other versions (bind-libs-9.6.1-2.fc11.i586.rpm):  

[urutu:~] ls -al /usr/lib/libbind9*

How do I make NetworkManager write "nameserver 127.0.0.1" in resolv.conf
so I can test it?
