Continuting the rant spirit: Nope, they have once again completely rewritten the video system in order to make the compiz nonsense work and allow compositing window managers to run 99% faster (of course window managers only use about 0.001% of the time on the machine, but by golly they can run faster with compositing - if the video drivers ever recover from the rewrites that is :-). > 2. I've never installed from an actual DVD, but there is supposed to be a "use basic video" install option in the main menu. I got a machine at work to install by adding the "vesa" option to the installer kernel boot options. Possibly that should have been "xdriver=vesa" but vesa seemed to work for me all by itself. -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
