Steven Stern kirjoitti viestissään (lähetysaika perjantai, 26. kesäkuuta 2009): > Updating : 1:cpuspeed-1.5-9.fc11.i586 > > Why are some packages named like that? Is the "1:" > meaningful? It's the epoch number, and it's the most significant part of the package version number. I.e. a package with epoch:version-release of 2:0.0.0-1 is considered newer than 1:999.999.999-9. Epoch 0 isn't displayed, that's why only some packages (with epoch >=1) show those numbers. -- Markku Kolkka markku.kolkka@xxxxxx -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
