Ehh, that is not true. Akmods are meant to handle that use-case as well (of cause all files that are needed to compile modules are required), but I haven't tested it for a long while. If it doesn't work file bugs. I'm a bit behind with working on them, but hope to find time for akmod bugs soon again.
