OK, yes, I know this technically shouldn't work but a hack or two on the
scripts that start Maple 7 and installing compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-135
from Fedora Core 5 make it work I understand.
However, I am having the following error messages pop up in the terminal
window every time that I try to start xmaple:
dirname: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
/bin/sh: error while loading shared libraries: libdl.so.2: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
Any idea how this broke and how I can fix this? RPM shows that
glbc-2.9-3 and all associated packages are installed, which owns those
two files.
Thanks,
William
