To paint the picture more fully, imagine having to have five telephones
on your desk, and remember which is the right one to call which people,
because they're on different telephone companies, and they don't
interconnect.
That's the situation with Skype, because *they* refuse to use a standard
protocol.
I have friends on Skype, I just pick up a phone, any phone, and dial their
number. And I'm told that if you have "Magic-Jack" you can do the same thing,
dial and you will be connected.
I don't use different phones to talk to Verizon, at&t, or Sprint users, why Skype?
