Yes - that matches the CHECKSUM file that came with the iso, and it is
signed correctly. However when I run sha256sum agianst the iso, i get:

Is that a "text" sha256sum? You probably need to run sha256sum in
"binary" mode:
sha256sum -b Fedora-11-i386-DVD.iso
No, that can't be it, as it gives me the same (good) hash with and
without the -b/-t options.
Are you running sha256sum against the .iso file? Or against a burned
DVD???? sha256sum should only be run against the .iso file before
burning it.
