-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Bonjour, I am wondering how to get a non-graphical boot in fedora 10. In the previous version (up to f9), I used to disable graphical boot in /etc/sysconfig/init # Turn on graphical boot GRAPHICAL=no # And I could get a black screen with the status of all starting services Now we don't have this choice: # color => new RH6.0 bootup # verbose => old-style bootup # anything else => new style bootup without ANSI colors or positioning BOOTUP=color #BOOTUP=verbose # If I choose "BOOTUP=verbose" it is the very old style bootup from redhat 4 (or 5 I don't remember) where you cannot read anything. Also, at shutdown, when GRAPHICAL was set to "no", you could see all status of shuting down services. Now this works randomly: sometimes you can see this, sometimes nothing is displayed until the system stops. I the later case, for me, I have problems to reboot with the software RAID 1 I installed on my box. I suppose that md services do not shutdown propperly but I cannot see it. Thanks for answering. - -- François Patte UFR de mathématiques et informatique Université Paris Descartes 45, rue des Saints Pères F-75270 Paris Cedex 06 Tél. +33 (0)1 4286 2413 http://www.math-info.univ-paris5.fr/~patte -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAknIjJIACgkQdE6C2dhV2JVTQACfesQJ6kqVjhaR7u0w8Mqaoa96 Ln0AoNBvPtui0OVo4i6Cb/bzJpSTCCrj =o1G3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/MailingListGuidelines
