It seems to me, that if that is not enough info to make an educated static routing decision, then I cannot imagine what you might need.

 That is great - checking the env variables is a good idea i had not checked those - yes I can manage this way. Thank you very much.

 However, I still think it would  be cleaner if NM  passed the NM profile name and VPN profile name to the scripts,
