I have a firewall mystery.

I happen to be using a firewall on Fedora 10 that I like very much called fiaif. At startup, fiaif starts like it's supposed to. My machine has two NICs. eth0 goes to the outside and eth1 goes to my wife's 'puter running Fedora 8. After I boot, she can not see the outside world, but if I restart fiaif then she's fine. I captured the iptables setting both before and after restarting fiaif and they are identical. chkconfig --list iptables tells me that it's turned off. So I have no idea what's going on.

One more thing: There's a comment in /etc/init.d/network

# Should-Start: iptables ip6tables

but I don't see that that's happening anywhere in the code.

Does this make any sense?
