Quick question:

I looked, but could not locate what I am looking for...

I have an F9 system using the old repository, how can I
reset it to use the new repository?

yum update

should pull in the new fedora-release package from the old repo and
then after that you should be able to do another 'yum update' and get
the current packages.
Thanks!
