hi list
is there any way to control a dial up connection (connecting
disconnecting changing phone numbers and etc.) on a windows box from my
fedora desktop via network?

Remote desktop or VNC will work. Remote desktop is native to windows.

yum install rdesktop gnome-rdp

Look for the new icon in your applications menu.
