I don't see wpa_supplicant in there.

chkconfig --list network

[root@AAO ~]# chkconfig --list NetworkManager

Is 'network' running? I would have thought that 'Currently active devices:' means that it is. If it is, why? chkconfig says it isn't being activated.

If you are running the kernel-2.6.27 the correct driver will be ath5K_pci .
