I do also have anacron running and if I shut down and power up the computer the usual way, it's probably anacron which starts to run the cron jobs after about an hour of uptime. But if I hibernate the computer and then power it up, say, the next day, for some reason it seems like anacron doesn't notice it should start running the cron jobs.
