i have in front of me a dell latitude E6500 laptop (WUXGA display) running F10, with one of dell's funky new "display ports" on the back, as opposed to a standard DVI or HDMI port. all i want to do is push video out that port to a WUXGA samsung flat-panel display, which i've been able to do for months from an older dell inspiron that had a DVI port. i'd never seen one of these "display ports" before, and had the powers-that-be order the apparently essential adapter cables (one DP-DVI, one DP-HDMI). but i have been utterly unable to get video out that port. in fact, if i boot the laptop with the port connected, i get absolutely no video in *either* place. has anyone messed with one of these? can you share the secret? thanks. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
