I'm sorry, I misread your message. I was thinking you had given up on Netmeeting and just wanted to use Remote Desktop and were asking how to do that. FWIW, I did have better performance with tsclient/rdesktop after specifying RDPv5 rather than just RDP as the protocol.

That should install rdesktop with it, and tsclient is just a GUI for that. I use it all the time.
