I think its working fine, and I told it to quit when the share ratio got to 5, 
but without a gui, I can't know that.

Right now if I want to stop it, I have to kill all the subprocesses, and if I 
reboot, or restart x, they are started back up again.

Looking through the messages at the above link, one suggested deleting 
ktorrentrc, which I did, and that, while destroying the share data, did allow 
the gui to restart ok, so I set it to continue seeding.  Now, if x doesn't 
crash again...
