Hi Gene,

I hope this site useful for you:

http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/OracleDB11gR1InstallationOnFedora9.php

You may face system requirements, because Oracle they said only support Enterprise versions. You can avoid this issue and skipt via the following command:

./runinstaller --ignore sysPrereqs

Good luck.

Does anyone have experience installing and running the Oracle 11g database on Fedora 9?
 The machine has a AMD X2 64-bit 5600+ with 4 GB RAM.

Thanks,
Gene
