Odd one for sure

Greetings:

System is a 4 core phenom, 4GB ram, F8 uptodate but vanilla 2.6.27.3 SMP & PAE
kernel. However this will also take place when booted to the next to last F8
kernel, so I don't believe its kernel related.

I'm not sure if my system is haunted or not, but in the early hours of the
morning (it will be fine later), if I click on the kmenu icon to bring up
that selector, the selector comes up, but only after the screen is blanked
which is instantly, but it will flash back on every few seconds for about 200
milliseconds. If I then move the mouse and click on an empty location of the
screen, which kills the kmenu, it comes back to normal.

Does any one have a clue?

Thanks
