The NVidia 6100 is one of the "workhorse" GPUs for MythTV and generally works "out of the box" for Linux. It should just "work" with the open source "nv" driver, but it should also be supported by the proprietary "nvidia" drivers as well. We *are* talking about the GeForce 6100, right? Its listed as supported in 2005-12-05 version 1.0-8174 of at least xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-96xx-96-43-07 with the GPU ID 0x0242. NVidia has 3 different versions of its proprietary driver now. Check the NVidia release notes (Appendix A) to make sure you are running the correct version to support your GPU.
