When trying to install Fedora 9 (Fedora-9-i386-netinst.iso) installation method URL-----Error End-----
(ftp://fedora.bu.edu/release/9/Fedora/i386/os & http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/releases/9/Fedora) I get the error at the bottom of the email.
* I have used the iso to install Fedora successfully into a VirtualBox VM (URL/FTP method-successful).
* I have reburnt the iso to a new CD at the slowest speed posible (10x for 2nd CD versus 24x for 1st).
Same issue with the 2nd CD burnt at 10x.
*Each time I try a reinstall I "Remove all partitions on selected drives and create default layout" to make sure nothing is left behind.
* I have tried different mirrors, run the memory test, and tested the hdd with SpinRite.
* I have read through some of the Anaconda developer documentation to determine where the issue is happening and the best I can guess is in stage 2 (plus tty3 says something to this effect).
* In tty2 I can ping fedora.bu.edu and google.com.
* In tty3 the last two entries are: 1) 11:49:34 INFO : added repository Additional Fedora Software with URL http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=9&arch=i386
and 2) 11:49:34 INFO : Using /mnt/sources/images/stage2.img as stage2 image
* In tty3 I have also tailed /tmp.anaconda.log to watch for errors- nothing I can see in there
* In tty4 the last line is: <7>SELinux: initialized (dev sda1, type ext3), uses xattr
* In tty5 the last line is: Running... /bin/mount -n -t proc -o defaults /dev/proc /mnt/sysimage/proc
* And tty6 is the GUI (freaked me out when Ctrl+Alt+F7 didn't bring up the GUI :)
I am now downloading the full DVD install but I would like to figure out what the problem is with loading this system. See below for system specs.

[Resolution]
Write down the correct original FTP address (ftp://fedora.bu.edu/releases/9/Fedora/i386/os - one damn 's' missing in 'releases') and stop fat fingering the 2nd URL. I am not sure what I typed wrong with the 2nd URL but I have verified that both URLs, when properly typed, work. Embarrassing but wanted to get this out there in case my trials and tribulations can save someone else HOURS for a simple install.
PS: This is my first post to fedora-list and I hope it is my last stupid one. Thanks. :)
Sincerely,
Derek A. Muenzel, Sr.
