I hate to be "that guy"... But am I mistaken in the understanding that somebody has VMware-server-1.0.7-108231 working on kernel 2.6.27-0.329.rc6.git2.fc10.i686?

I downloaded http://vmkernelnewbies.googlegroups.com/web/vmware-any-any-update117d.tar.gz

Then patched the 117d update with http://vmkernelnewbies.googlegroups.com/web/VMware-server-vmmon-1.0.6-91891-2.6.26-1.patch and http://vmkernelnewbies.googlegroups.com/web/VMware-server-vmnet-1.0.6-91891-2.6.26-1.patch

Next, I applied the update. When it called vmware-config, I still saw the following errors:

[/lib/modules/2.6.27-0.329.rc6.git2.fc10.i686/build/include]

Extracting the sources of the vmmon module.

I like horses so I'm absolutely not a proponent of beating them to death. However, I need this working in the worst way. Therefore I bow to those out there who can educate me and I humbly ask them to impart me with knowledge.

now runs flawless.
Yes!
is wht i tried to say, i must clean everithing, and then reinstall everithing using the patch update117-itpsycho.
i can confirm: it works!!!
For the sake of the archives: that update117-itpsycho one saved my
life, installed on top of other 117* updates. Fedora 8, VMWare
Workstation 5.5.6-80404 w/ update117 and update117d already installed.

And still for the archives, vmware-config.pl after applying
update117-itpsycho on top of a fresh install of VMWare WS 5.5.8 just
works fine.
