The format is iqn.[yyyy]-[mm].{reversed domain name}:string e.g., for a system in my domain (proximity.on.ca), I could use "iqn.2008-09.ca.on.proximity:rack04chassis12" -Chris On Mon, 2008-09-15 at 23:30 +0100, Paul Ward wrote: > Thanks Chris, > > Got it sorted out in the end, simpler than I thought. > > One question though do you know if you change the iqn name? > > Apart from that its all good. > > Paul > > 2008/9/12 Chris Tyler <chris@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > On Fri, 2008-09-12 at 15:29 +0100, Paul Ward wrote: > > Hi All, > > > > Can anyone help me with an install of ISCSI on a RHEL4 box. > > > > I have been asked to mount an ISCSI disk to a mount point > using IP. > > Can anyone point me in the right direction. > > I have installed the initiator utils and also the > > iscsitarget-0.4.16.tar.gz and built this with no problems > but do not > > know what to do next. > > > You'll need to configure the initiator (ignore the target, > that's for > the drive end of the connection).
