Greetings all; Last night, after having yum do an update, amanda went start raving bonkers as if all the device major numbers of the disks have been changed. I don't think they have, and the uptime is 5 days, so its not been rebooted. Here is a list of what was updated: Packages Installed: cmake-2.4.8-2.fc8.i386 xmlrpc-c-1.06.18-1.fc8.i386 Packages Updated: libedit.i386 2.11-1.20080712cvs.fc8 git.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 git-email.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 gitk.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 dvgrab.i386 3.2-1.fc8 libxml2-python.i386 2.7.1-1.fc8 xscreensaver-extras.i386 1:5.07-2.fc8 samba-common.i386 3.0.31-0.fc8 libxml2-devel.i386 2.7.1-1.fc8 gitweb.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 libxml2.i386 2.7.1-1.fc8 pygobject2-doc.i386 2.14.2-1.fc8 git-gui.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 vpnc.i386 0.5.1-5.1.fc8 kde-filesystem.noarch 4-17.fc8 perl-Git.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 xscreensaver-gl-extras-gss.i386 1:5.07-2.fc8 pygobject2-devel.i386 2.14.2-1.fc8 curl-devel.i386 7.18.2-5.fc8 java-1.7.0-icedtea.i586 1.7.0.0-0.20.b21.snapshot.fc8 hal-docs.i386 0.5.10-4.fc8 git-cvs.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 java-1.7.0-icedtea-plugin.i586 1.7.0.0-0.20.b21.snapshot.fc8 emacs-git.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 libsmbclient.i386 3.0.31-0.fc8 transfig.i386 1:3.2.5-4.fc8 hal.i386 0.5.10-4.fc8 hal-devel.i386 0.5.10-4.fc8 xscreensaver-gl-base.i386 1:5.07-2.fc8 git-arch.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 openvrml-gl.i386 0.17.8-1.0.fc8 samba.i386 3.0.31-0.fc8 git-core.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 fakeroot.i386 1.9.6-17.fc8 openvrml.i386 0.17.8-1.0.fc8 xscreensaver-gl-extras.i386 1:5.07-2.fc8 pygobject2.i386 2.14.2-1.fc8 curl.i386 7.18.2-5.fc8 hal-libs.i386 0.5.10-4.fc8 git-svn.i386 1.5.4.3-2.fc8 xscreensaver-base.i386 1:5.07-2.fc8 samba-client.i386 3.0.31-0.fc8 Anybody have an idea what set amanda off to thinking it had to do a global level 0 in the middle of otherwise routine backups? -- Cheers, Gene "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
