Not porting itunes to linux is one of the nicer things Apple has done for us. :) > You can try GtkPod or Banshee, but I've not had any luck with an > iPod Touch on firmware 2.0.2 so far. YMMV. AFAIK, none of the linux tools work yet with iPhone or touch with firmware >= 2.0. This is thanks to Apple changing the hashing scheme yet again. I'm sure it will eventually get reverse engineered, but it is slower this time than the last time -- I suspect partly because each time Apple does this crap they push more folks to devices that are not so actively hostile to third party software. There is a wiki setup to track the progress of reverse engineering the new hash scheme at http://bluwiki.com/go/Ipodhash . It's mostly technical info. -- Todd OpenPGP -> KeyID: 0xBEAF0CE3 | URL: www.pobox.com/~tmz/pgp ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Teach a man to make fire, and he will be warm for a day.
