Posting this for the archives....

I know I had this working on some earlier version of Fedora. I'm trying
to get the system to recognize my HP 2200 PSC
printer/scanner/coffeemaker. I spent about an hour googling without
success, but working through all of the tools and tips in all of those
postings, I can summarize how to make it work.

Given: sane-find-scanner finds it:

found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0 [Hewlett-Packard], product=0x2911 [PSC
2200 Series]) at libusb:003:002

but "scanimage -L" doesn't find any scanners.

Solution: yum install libsane-hpaio

Now xsane and gscan2pdf work.
