spelling is a weak point with me. i have a tendency to spell too much in
phonic. and my typing is even worse.

back to topic, i do believe i have a bad section on hard drive.

i had several dma errors and dma timeouts in 1st 400 meg of download. it is now
just over 2 gig and no more errors. after dl is finished, i will run sha1sum to
see just how it did.

then i will clean off and run a badblock test to see just what is happening.

later.
