At the time I used vmware-any-any-117-very-ALPHA.tgz but I know that there are later ones now I had to yum install libX11.i386 libXtst.i386 libXrender.i386 zlib.i368 !!!!!!!!!!! to get libz !!!!! I have subsequently taken a Window V/M Client from Workstation and run it successfully under VMware Server 1.0.6 which did pleasantly surprise me !!!!
