Here's my latest experience with the above configuration (ThinkPad T61p). With the nv driver: * Hibernate works fine * The machine suspends to RAM, but on resume, the backlight is off. I tried several combinations of quirks on the pm-suspend command, but none seemed to change the behavior. With the latest nvidia driver (rebuilt from Livna RPMs, as Livna's build system is still down): * The machine hibernates, but freezes on resume. * The machine suspends, but on resume, it takes over a minute for the screen to come back. The machine beeps a few times, and when the screen displays, there is a pop-up indicating a kernel error. The machine appears functional Does anyone have these things working reliably? What are the magic quirks for nv suspend? Anyone know what's up with the kernel error?
