Not sure.
I don't use KDM. (I still use gdm)
But never the less, when I connect to the machine remotely (over SSH)
and start evolution, it starts gnome-keyring-daemon correctly and the
passwords are accessible.

I am having the exact same problem with FC9 and Gnome. .
