In the last day I started noticing f9's Firefox hanging more and more frequently. I would just go catatonic for a while not redrawing the screen or acting on kbd or mouse input. Now ssh has started hanging too. The difference is that ssh never recovers from that state. One has to "~." the connection to blow it away and start a new one. The ssh problem seems to be worse on lossy connections like wifi where I can't get two minutes of service out of it before it hangs. On a wired ethernet I can get many minutes before things break. (And to forestall any NAT questions, no NAT isn't involved. I'm ssh-ing to a local machine that is on the local ether and the AP when I tried to use WIFI was acting as a pure ethernet protocol bridge.) Is anyone else seeing this after yesterday's yum updates? This is darn annoying. -wolfgang -- Wolfgang S.
