But in Fedora 9, javac is not found and I tried downloading javacc, which did not do the same thing. :(

At the moment I am yum installing

Installing:
 java-1.6.0-openjdk-devel  x86_64     1:1.6.0.0-0.13.b09.fc9  updates           8.9 M

after deducing from the page
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/JavaFAQ

I hope that I did the right thing.
