With networkmangler enabled, the static ip setup during install is ignored and eth0 dynamically acquires an ip. With networkmangler disabled, even though eth0 is set to start on boot, it doesn't, so once I issue an #ifup eth0, it starts and uses it correct static ip.
Does chkconfig network on help? eth0 should then start automatically on the next boot.
