kgpg handles all that seamlessly. I have several people on my keyring that
have more than one key.

It's also possible to have one key for several addresses, as I do. For those
that use kgpg, just take a look at my key. It lists several addresses and is
signed by a number of people - yes, they did see my passport :-). Similarly,

gpg --list-keys 1E1C9C17

shows all the identities that my key can be used for.

Bzzt! Don't do that. Not unless you have:

    1) Verified the details of the key (fingerprint, size, and type,
    at least)

    2) Verified the email address used (perhaps via a simple challenge
email asking the key holder to sign some data of your choosing and
    return it to you)

    3) Done some sort of validation that the name on the key is really
the name the key holder is known as

There is nothing to be gained by just signing a key to make the
"invalid" warning go away. And in fact, it can be harmful. If you
use --sign-key and then even send that key to someone else or to a
keyserver, others may take your signature to mean that you've done
some or all of the verification I mentioned above. If you haven't,
you're harming your reputation, as no one wants to trust the
signature from someone that doesn't do any verification. (Think of
signing a key as you would notarizing a document. You wouldn't stamp
your seal on something without some checking.)

If you really must silence the warning (and I would argue that there
is no point in that), you can use gpg --lsign-key to create a local
signature. Such a signature will not ever be exported.

I installed F9 on an old computer that only has 256M of RAM. I did a
text mode install and it worked fine. One interesting thing is that if
you do a text mode install, gdm is apparently not installed. Anyway,
when I start up X, the NetworkManager is running but it doesn't enable
my wired connection. I've played around with the menus and put in the
MAC address but that had no effect. I'm sure I'm missing something
simple but I need a hint.

Thanks,

Try running system-config-network and configure your connection there
initially, and save. Just don't start the network service. Once it's
saved (you may need to reboot) you can try restarting/redoing NM to see
if it sees it then. You also need to check the "let NM control it" box
as well.

We're shipping the latest stable version of KDE, KDE 4.0.4. Of course we aren't
shipping unstable betas or even alphas of KDE in a stable release! KDE 4.1 is
not released yet.

Does this mean that it would work with Fedora 9 without having to

While I know there are lots of anti-spam utilities out there, I've found
OpenBSD's spamd (spam deferral daemon) to be quite useful, and now that
I'm managing the Linux servers for my company and the amount of spam and
bounce-back spam we've received today, I thought I'd inquire as to
whether or not it had been ported to Linux.

Does anyone know if it has been, and if it has, where I might find it?

Thank you,
Raymond

Yes, I just got it running on my machine without any problems. glxgears
is a little bit slower than on earlier drivers, but it is a beta.

I don't know why but after doing system-config-network it works fine. I
didn't change anything but it works.

In my Xvfb thread, what the heck is /etc/X11/fontpath.d for?? And, how
is it initted/created and what should be in it? Is it a file or a
directory? I'm finding nuttin' googling my rear-end off. How 'bout it
Rahul?? Inquiring minds really need to know, so Xvfb works.

Or, would a local.conf file, as suggested here, override the mysterious
fontpath.d whateveritis?? I sure need to fix this one for my project
using Xvbf in Java Wonderland so we get our "proof-of-concept" before
the interested parties. Thanx, Ric

Rex, the other shoe on that pony, as has been debated before, is that a
lot of us would prefer to ask the list first, just so we're not creating
something <*>--STUPID--<*> on the bug list.

I'm sure the guys that have to answer those tickets would rather we make
sure that we've TRIED to become informed on the problems first, then to
make an intelligent as well as useful submission to bugzilla after. Or,
we could just put the list to bed and file every problem to bugzilla to
wait months for the result. That's my take on it. Ric

Good news indeed! I think I will still wait - for the sake of
convenience - until Livna catches up with their packages.

Nice to know someone got the rock to at least budge a little...

Cheers,

Got these keyservers enabled in .gnupg/gpg.conf
