samba printing in Fedora 9?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Greetings. I've got Fedora 9 running on a 64-bit AMD system at home.

The only printers we have are locally connected to a Windows XP system
and shared to other computers on our home network.

In the past (e.g., Fedora 8) I've used samba to print to these printers
and have not had problems.

I recently set up Fedora 9, and while I can SEE the printers, I can't
print to them. In defining the print queues, everything works as
expected: I can browse the workgroup, see and select the shared
printers, use the print tool to verify that I can access the shared
printers, etc.

But when I actually try to print anything, nothing ever comes out on the
printers. I've appended a typical entry from the CUPS error log.

Can anybody show me the error of my ways? Thanks.
