Live USB wireless connection

Hi, Gurus:

I brought up Fedora 9 with my live USB last night but failed to connect to my wireless AP. I can see bunch of neighbors APs floating around. After I input my SSID and wep code(I believe there is no error coz it works for win xp), fedora 9 struggled a little bit and quit. I checked /var/log/messages and it seems Fedora failed to recognize my SSID(I didn't broadcast it). So my question is, you have to broadcast your wireless AP for fedora 9 to recognize?

Thanks,

POJOGuy
